One can set a limit on their Central Bank of India debit card through mobile banking and through net banking. The steps for both ways are given below -
Mobile Banking -
Step 1: Open the Cent mobile app on your phone.
Step 2: Next, select your card on the app.
Step 3: Then you have to choose the ‘Debit card control’ and change the limit of your debit card.
Step 4: Lastly, click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Net Banking -
Step 1: Log into your net banking account and click on the ‘Debit Card Services.’
Step 2: Next click on the ‘Card Controller Services’ and then on ‘Action.’
Step 3: Then you have to select the transaction type and set a limit for your debit card.
Step 4: Lastly, click the ‘Submit’ option.
Central Bank of India offers its customer to generate green pin. Follow the steps mentioned below to generate such pin -
Step 1: Go to your nearest Central Bank if India ATM.
Step 2: Insert your new debit card in the card slot.
Step 3: Out of all the option, select the ‘Green PIN’ option.
Step 4: Next choose the ‘OTP Generation’ option.
Step 5: You will be asked to enter your registered mobile number. Once you enter and click the submit button, the OTP will be sent to your registered mobile phone.
Step 6: After entering the OTP, you can set the pin for your ATM card.
If a customer loses his debit card, a request for hotlisting the debit card can be made and the card will be blocked. Central Bank of India offers hotlisting facility where the customer has to just send a message to the bank’s number and the card will be blocked.
EMV stands for Europay, MasterCard and Visa. EMV cards come with an embedded microchips that will enhance the security of authentication process.
If your card is lost or misplaced, this card will protect you against any unauthorized transactions for up to Rs.1 lakh from the date of reporting the loss of debit card.
