  1. Enter your username and password to access LIC's e-Services after registering. 
  1. You will have to fill out a form to use the services provided by the site.  
  1. You will also need to register each of your policies.  
  1. The form needs to be printed, signed, and scanned before being sent as an image to the portal.  
  1. A scanned copy of your PAN card, Aadhar card, or passport should also be sent.  
  1. The scanned image file must not exceed 100 KB in size.  
  1. The file types that the image can be in are.bmp,.tiff,.jpeg,.jpg,.png, or.gif.  
  1. After the tasks are completed, you will receive an acknowledgement from the organization

Almost all insurance providers in the country now offer their policies online as well. LIC has also made its policies available online. However, the biggest benefit of LIC’s online policy is the post-sale support policyholders can avail now in a hassle-free process. 

Facilities for Online Payment 

LIC’s e-Services can be used to make your LIC premium payments online including repayment of loans, payment of loan-interest due and renewal premium due. These payments can be made through different modes such as UPI (Unified Payment Interface), credit card / debit card, net banking and BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money). The payment towards renewal premium can be made for all policies that are in force.

However, policies that have been registered for premium payment via NACH (National Automated Clearing House) and those under Salary Saving Scheme cannot be renewed online. Customers can make the premium payment a month before the due date of the policy. 

The credit cards allowed by LIC’s e-Services include Amex, MasterCard and VISA, while the debit cards allowed include Rupay, MasterCard and VISA. Loan interest payments cannot be made under PMVVY (Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana) and VPBY (Varishtha Pension Bima Yojana) plan policies. 

Facilities for Offline Payment 

You can pay your insurance premium through National Automated Clearing House (NACH). You can also visit the ATMs of either Axis Bank or Corporation Bank to complete the payment of your insurance premium.

Claims for Death Benefit

After providing an intimation of the policyholder's death, the beneficiary or nominee of the life assured will be legally qualified to collect the death sum insured under a standard life insurance policy. The notification must be submitted to the LIC's servicing branch. Claim Form 'A' in Form Number 3783 (Form Number 3783A can be used if the policy has been in force for three years or longer), a certified extract from the death record, and the original policy bond, as well as any deeds of assignment, are all required. The company may impose additional restrictions depending on the policy's status, in which case the servicing office will need to be contacted for more information.

Maturity Claims 

Customers of Life Insurance Corporation of India would get their maturity claims resolved on or before the due date. Notifications of maturity claims are typically sent by the servicing branch at least two months prior to the maturity date. You must turn in your original policy bond and the Discharged Receipt in Form Number 3825 one month prior to the due date. If you submit your claims ahead of schedule, they will be handled before the deadline. Over the next few months, you should expect to get news regarding your maturity claims; if not, get in touch with the support department right once.
