IDBI Bank offers three fund transfer options, namely NEFT, RTGS, and IMPS. For more details on each type of fund transfer, read on.
NEFT: National Electronic Funds Transfer is one of the most popular fund transfers in India. It is an electronic fund transfer that enables customers to transfer funds one-on-one. This differs from RTGS transfers in that it is cleared in batches. Customers can use NEFT to transfer funds from any bank branch to any individual or entity in another bank branch across the country. IDBI Bank provides great NEFT transfer services at reasonable rates.
RTGS: Real-time Gross Settlement is a fund transfer method where funds are transferred from one bank to another bank on a “Real-time” basis. Unlike NEFT, it does not have any waiting period for clearance. The RTGS system is used during emergency situations or for high-value transactions that demand immediate clearing. Controlled by the Central Bank of India, RTGS is a safe method to transfer funds within India. IDBI Bank offers their customer RTGS fund transfer option.
IMPS- Customers that want an immediate fund transfer should use IMPS. Immediate Payment Service (IPS) is a quick electronic payment transfer service that may be used on mobile phones. IMPS do not have a waiting period because funds are sent quickly. IDBI Bank's Go Mobile app allows you to send funds via IMPS.

The service has various security measures, including a VeriSign 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), https:// access, and an Intrusion Detection System (IDS), to ensure a high level of protection for transactions via this channel. In addition, to improve the security of the mobile banking experience, a dynamic SMS-based One Time Password (OTP) is implemented for each transaction or beneficiary registration.
To access the mobile banking service through a browser, the user needs a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS)-enabled handset with internet connectivity, which can have either a 2G or 3G internet access plan. Even basic handset models with in-built browser support can access the service.
No, a new password will be assigned for Mobile Banking. Although there are no system-based restrictions on using the same password for both channels, it is strongly advised to use separate passwords for each channel.
