NEFT:

NEFT or National Electronic Funds Transfer is a nation-wide payment system which allows banks and its customers to electronically make payments to any other bank account which is also a part of the NEFT network. This facility operates on the Deferred Net Settlement (DNS) basis and is open not only the customers holding accounts with UCO bank but also for walk-in customers who do not have an account with the bank. However, though there is no limit on the minimum or maximum amount of an NEFT transaction, all cash based NEFT transactions carry an upper limit of Rs 50,000. Funds can be transferred to any bank account in India which is a part of the NEFT network. In order to transfer funds via NEFT, customers making cash based remittances must furnish details like complete address, contact number, bank account number, etc.

RTGS or Real Time Gross Settlement is another system of making online payments. Following are the charges applicable for RTGS transactions. RTGS transactions are done on an order to order basis, which means that the transaction process takes place as soon as the instructions are received, in real time. RTGS is especially ideal for making high monetary value payments wherein the minimum amount for a transaction is fixed at Rs 2 lakh. There is no upper limit on the transaction. In order to initiate an RTGS transaction, customers must furnish the following information.

  2. Sender's account number from which the amount is to be debited.
  3. Name of the beneficiary.
  4. Beneficiary's bank name.
  5. Beneficiary's account number.
